Soundbox. Turn your Playlist Into your Funlist
(Music App Experience & Branding)
A start-up approached me with an idea: create a new way to enjoy and organize music already on your phone. They had a rough block-out of the interface, and I came on board to bring the experience to life.
Approach
I designed the visual face of the app, focusing on how users interact with their playlists to make the experience feel fresh and intuitive.
Detailed wireframes and visual studies
Beyond the product, I also helped shape the brand, co-developing the app’s name, logo, and overall marketing look and feel.
I started from a rough layout the startup put together to show their vision.
I blocked out a rough wireframe to work out the layout and interactions.
Final Output
The result was a clean, engaging experience that made rediscovering your own music library easy and fun.

(What I’d Do Differently)
With the tools and experience I’ve gained since, there are a few things I’d approach differently if I tackled this project again:
Increase touch target sizes and ensure all interactions and constrasts meet accessibility standards.
Build a simple, functional prototype to test key interactions early on.
Do a full Jobs to be Done analysis to better understand user goals and uncover missing features.
Define and prioritize core features like Favorites and Playlist creation, which were overlooked in early stages.
